Privacy notice

Effective date: 27 April 2026. This page describes how this website handles personal data. It is provided in good faith and does not replace legal advice.

Controller

Philipp Strüby, Zürich, Switzerland. Contact: philipp@philippstrueby.com.

What data is collected

Server access logs (IP address, user agent, request path, timestamp) are processed by the hosting provider Vercel for the purpose of running and securing the site. Logs are retained for a short period and then discarded.

If you submit your email address through the newsletter form, that address is sent to Loops.so and stored there for the purpose of sending the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the page. These tools set cookies and transfer data to Google, including in the United States. Google Consent Mode v2 is enabled. Until you accept the cookie banner, all advertising and analytics signals are set to denied and no personalised data is shared.

Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights collect aggregated and pseudonymised page view and performance data. They do not use cookies that identify you personally.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing the cookie-consent entry in your browser storage and reloading the page, which will show the banner again.

Legal basis

Processing is based on consent (Art. 6(1)(a) EU GDPR, Art. 31(1) Swiss FADP) for analytics and marketing, on the performance of a service for the newsletter, and on legitimate interest for the secure operation of the website.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing. Send any request to the email address above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or with your local data protection authority.

Data transfers

Some service providers (Vercel, Loops.so, Google) process data outside Switzerland and the EU, including in the United States. They rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for international transfers.
